Change is good – isn’t it?

First let me apologize for not being here recently!  My mother has decided to retire and that means LOT of work for me since I work with her.  After the loss of her brother she has decided after almost 45 years of working to retire and volunteer her time.  Learning her work load has been very stressful but change is good.

Last week I finally received my Element of Style stamp set and Pendant stamp and punch sets that I was waiting for since March.  I love the Element of Style set because it allows me to use my watercoloring techniques that I really enjoy.  So my first use of this stamp set was to make a retirement card for my mother.  I first have to say that my mother’s favorite color is purple.  OK here’s the card:

So for this Element of Style card I used purple and green Leflume markers and an Aqua marker to create a watercolor effect.  I stamped the humming-bird using the purple Leflume marker and the sentiment also comes from the stamp set.  I think she’s going to love it!

Well that’s it for today.  Come back again and see how different this same stamp set looks using SU crayons! Have a Magical Day!

Love your card. It came out great! Would you consider doing a tutorial on water coloring techniques? Thanks.
