C.A.S.E. That!!

So for those of you who don’t know C.A.S.E means – Copy And Steal Everything!  Creatively speaking!

Well every year I have been doing my mother’s Christmas cards – much to my misery.  Not that I don’t enjoy doing them, it’s just that I’m not very good with repetitive work and I usually create something that’s very time-consuming.  Last year I made a horrible snowflake card that took tons of time that my mother loved, her friends adored and I detested!  So this year after going to the RI Stampin Up Regional I had tons of holiday SWAPs for her to choose from as resources.  She of course picked something that I couldn’t quickly recreate, here’s the card:

Why do I say I couldn’t recreate – well I didn’t have the Designer Series Paper on the SWAP and everything my mother looked at out there in retail land she didn’t like and she didn’t want me to buy anything – use my resources wisely (it’s a Girl Scout thing!).  So I had to be creative!  I have the Keepsake Ornament framelits and stamps as well as the Garden Green cardstock so that was easy enough.  So here’s what I came up with!

Of course my mother went out and purchased cardstock and envelopes – bless her heart – but what she didn’t realize was instead of being a standard A4 card (4 1/4 X 5 1/5) it’s actually 5 X 6 1/5 – a monstrously huge card.  However I think it came out wonderfully.  I stamped the ornament in Garden Green to correspond with the cardstock that was punched with the Eyelet border punch on each side.  I used a standard clear stamp I had with what looks like flowers and stamped it in Cherry Cobbler on Off White Recollection card stock to give it that antique look.  The sentiment stamp from the Petite pairs was stamped in Cherry Cobbler and punched out using the Modern Label punch.

I think it’s a great CASE card.  Simple put lovely.  Hope it inspires you to CASE everything – creatively speaking!

Have a Magical Day!
